You might want to try a method that Catherine uses, offering free
henna in return for letting you take photos. Her conditions for free
henna are that the client must let her do whatever design she wants,
the client must follow her guidelines for aftercare and the client
must agree the return either the next day or two days later to be
photographed.

You might want to try something like this to build up your portfolio.
A good way to get great photographs taken (if you don't feel your own
skills are up to it) is to put a flyer up at local art schools. You
can do a deal with a student photographer where you pay for their
film and processing and they donate their time; you get photos of your
henna and the photo student gets photos for their portfolio.

Kree's advice is great. I wish I read something like that before I
