I have slipon shoes for gravel, glass, etc. I think being barefoot is good for you, especially on the earth or grass. We spend so much of our lives disconnected from the earth, on concrete, etc. Getting back on topic - It's also a great way to show off henna and other adornments! Hooray for henna on the feet - dark and long-lasting! By the way I hurt my toe on Wednesday in martial arts, barefoot of course and sparring with a friend, but he pulled on it and rubbed it and despite a bruise and some soreness it's ok. I still love going barefoot, but when you're kicking hard and someone's blocking hard it can really hurt. : : I know that some of you go barefoot at festivals or where authentic : : clothing. Thought this site was kinda neat...it's all about : adorning : : your feet...check it out :) : : I went barefoot at events for a long time. Then one year I stepped : on a stick and got a nasty, splintery puncture wound in my heel. The : next year, I stubbed and cut open my toe and got a nasty grey : infection in it that would have cost me the toe had my friend not : been Reiki trained and on the spot. : Please do not go barefoot when outdoors.
