Well I am the type of person who has a big distaste for shoes. I
wear minimal sandals (a toe loop w/ leather strap across the foot
basically) all through the year. Even here in rainy Washington, you
can find me in the winter time in my sandals. But when I can, and as
often as I can, those sandals come off and I go barefoot. I spend
about 90% of my time barefoot. Because I am barefoot so often, my
feet are a bit tougher than most. But still occasionally I will step
on something that doesn't feel to good.
I think one of the key things to going barefoot is to be aware of the
ground around you. Notice that there might be glass in the gravel,
or that there are twigs in the grass. But if you are still worried,
get some minimal sandals...lol...they feel like being barefoot, but
offer some protection too.
Blessings,
Willowhawk
