I have hair that's between dirty blonde and light brown, depending on how long I've been out in the sun (I try to avoid the sun - all that English/Serbian blood). Many years back, I used henna I bought at a health food store to henna my hair (Light Mountain, I think it was, in Strawberry Blonde or Persian Red - something like that) - I had a copperish cast to my hair for a day or two, but no longer than that. Tres disappointing. The last few times I've hennaed my hair, I've used some old Castle Art henna (Amy sold some of her old stock for a good price)mixed with tea, or left over mehndi paste made from Castle Art powder. That has given noticably better results. I also follow CCJ's advice and wrap my hair in plastic wrap, then a towel, then hang out watching Discovery Channel (I'd read, but the towel and plastic wrap and my glasses don't all get along) for a few hours. Hope this helps some. Anne
