OK, I won't offer to henna other parts of the bride. I guess at this
point I'd like to be prepared if she asks me to do other parts. I
don't really know where or what to do. I saw that Catherine
Cartwright Jones had some patterns for breasts ... where else is
henna put? I can come up with some ideas, but I'd rather know ahead
of time what to expect if I am asked.

You mentioned that a bridal henna is a big job for someone just
starting out. I agree. But if she does want me for the party, what
am I to expect? I've never been to one and have only read about them
on the net the past few days. I know it would depend on the number
of women. But can you give me a typical scenerio? Please? Gulp.

Thank you!! :-)

: If your customer is muslim, all you need to worry about is not
: including portrait type images in your work. The face of the bride
: and groom can be used for Indian brides, but certainly not muslim
: because it is not in accordance with their religion. Everyone's
: different, though, some people aren't "kosher" about that stuff.
: Persian or arabic patterns should be fine. Give her a little henna
: today as an example of your work, just an idea.
:
: With that in mind, simply go with some designs that your client
: admires. Ask what part of the world she is from and print out some
: design pages from the lineart section of the Henna Page, also check
: out Catherine Cartwright Jones' patterns at the link below.
:
: Hands and feet are appropriate for bridal henna, do not offer to do
: henna anywhere else on the bride because you will have your hands
: full with the other customers, and she won't be able to move if you
: henna her any and everywhere.
:
: For parties charge and hourly rate ($30 at least), or if the
hostess
: wishes to have the guests pay for themselves you need to charge the
: main client a retainer fee ($50 for example).
:
: Hope this helps, bridal henna is a big job for an artist just
: starting out, get some practice time in for yourself!
