" Samantha, calm yourself down! It will go fantastically and you
will be hooked on festivals forever!!!"

Lynn is absolutely right, the first half hour you'll wonder why
you're there and then things will go mad. I'm in the north west
corner of British Columbia (Canada) and it's exactly the same here.
Henna is an international language of peace & blessings. People love
it and they'll love that you're there. After you do a few hennas
you'll start to relax and enjoy the whole festival aura, but be sure
to have a little sign "back in 1/2 an hour" and don't feel bad taking
breaks. My first 1/2 dozen times hennaing for the public I didn't
take breaks and ALWAYS went home with a massive headache because I
didn't eat, just took 2 minute pee breaks (yes it gets that non stop
in public). Once I took a few breaks in a day I felt much better
when I was finished. Good luck, have FUN (above all), and let us
know how things go. Jen

At my first ever one, an open air
: concert with Billie (or some teenybop singer), I told the lady
: organising it that I did it all the time (I'd only ever done one
: party before.) I was half nervous, half excited - you sit in a
field
: for the first half hour with no customers and think to
yourself 'what
: on earth am I doing here?' Then everything goes absolutely mad and
: you don't have time to eat, drink, go the the loo. If I'm non-stop
I
: go slightly mad - henna the wrong design etc! Customers become a
: long sucession of limbs, some people are lovely but you do get the
: occasional person who isn't that nice, but that's life. Just put a
: smile on your face, and if and when things go wrong - laugh, don't
: panic and just wipe it away with some wet cotton wool and start
: again. You will have a fantastic time - if you are like me you'll
: find the most difficult thing is being away from your children.
Good
: luck - can't wait to hear how it went - I'll try and ring.

: : Ok folks I have my first EVER craft fair on Sunday and I am
: : panicking.
: : I have been practicing doing small neat quick designs on the
: premise
: : that i am going to be busy. However in all honesty I think it's
: just
: : my own lack of faith in myself. I dread the thought of someone
: having
: : a design and telling me they like it and then turning away and
: : thinking the exact opposite. Or even worse voicing thier opinion
: : infront of everyone. Gosh i'd curl up and shrival away i think.

: : something similar at your fist time - i hope (virginistic or what)
