In reply to: Attention all Henna Artist... I have been doing some extensive henna experimenting, You will be surprised of my results. A long Rant... posted by Michelle Rossfeld on May 26, 2001 at 17:31:54:

As far as the candle goes, I put my hand over, which doesnt fit so, I
just moved it round for about an hour, and wow the henna stain was
darker.

I us both lemon juice and freshly squeezed lemon, I find there is not
difference for me, on my body, everyone is different.

And Joe, I dont use Navaids black henna, I have tried it. I dont like
it, but that is my opiion. And by the way, if you talk to the henna
artist that has been around the longest, they will tell you that
Navaids black henna is the safest around.

Buying his henna powder has nothing to do with his black henna.I am
not supporting his black henna or anyone elses and I never will, and
if I was, His would be the one. Because his is the safest on the
market today.

I like the color that natural henna brings.

There are other henna artist that sell colored and black henna
paste, and they sell Navaids stuff, and henna artists still buy from
those suppliers.

Take Catherine for example, she buys from Castle art, Castle art has
sells colored henna paste. There is nothing wrong with that.

Take this forum, its against black henna, but it has links or use to
to black henna suppliers.

So I bet that if you check out your supplier background, I bet they
have some a couple of bones in there closests.

Let us all know what you find about them. ALso test your henna powder
for green dye, and let us know what your results are.

More or less nobody is perfect. And you dont have to buy these
products. And One more tip, becareful with what you say, you may find
yourself with some kind of lawsuit. Slander I think it is called.
Because Navaids henna is safe and you are saying it isnt. So maybe
you should prove it isnt. You should check out what you put in your
paste. Because anyone can have a reaction to henna or henna powder,
and that doesnt mean it not safe.

What about green dye, first and for most, Yes, its find and dany to
tell people who has good henna, but if there is person that tell
everyone there is a bad henna or there is green dye in it, I am
setting myself up for a lawsuit, I dont need that stuff in my life.
But I will tell you this, The henna powders that have green dye in
it, are very popular. So all I suggest is that you test your henna
before you use it. And also Cahterine will be doing tests on alot of
henna powders at Sirus, and it will come out who has green dye in it,
and you will be surpeised.
