Yes, the blue was added dye. Henna doesn't have blue specks nohow. I
guess the next box was from a better crop.

Some crops of henna are pitiful, some are fantastic. Just like
tomatoes. You HAVE seen tomatoes in the store that looked magnificent
and tasted like wet cardboard? Some suppliers aren't in a great rush
to be honest about the quality of their crop. I like to get the peak
of the season henna, as much as I can possibly afford, and stash it in
the freezer until the next years primo. But, then, I'm just a madwoman
for henna......
