: so what did the council
: : actually say then ....they are going to give you a permit to
trade
: or
: : is by word of mouth?....actual paper proof is good for the
bobbies!
:
: The Borough Solcitors wrote to me after studing my proposal. In
short
: my council does not give out street trading licences anymore.
However
: there are places you MUST NOT trade. They gave me a list of these
: places. They have talked with enviromental health and the engineers
: who are happy that henna is non harmful.
: As long as i don't caouse a public highway obstruction and my
: business is conducted in a civilised manner then thats fine as well
: (i phoned the police to confirm this)
: So i will take that letter with me and show it to anyone if they
: start harrassing me.
:
: Quick question do you think i should invest in a gazebo, or will a
: table and chairs do for now. How the hell will i get noticed though
: just with T+C on the prom?
:
: Samantha

Hmm gazebos are not very sturdy structures wouldnt recommend
it....also more likely to cause an obstruction!

go for a blanket, cushions for you and customers and large laminated
sheets with the designs on them.....weight these down with a few
rocks and your in business.....dont worry u will get noticed!
