so what did the council
: actually say then ....they are going to give you a permit to trade
or
: is by word of mouth?....actual paper proof is good for the bobbies!

The Borough Solcitors wrote to me after studing my proposal. In short
my council does not give out street trading licences anymore. However
there are places you MUST NOT trade. They gave me a list of these
places. They have talked with enviromental health and the engineers
who are happy that henna is non harmful.
As long as i don't caouse a public highway obstruction and my
business is conducted in a civilised manner then thats fine as well
(i phoned the police to confirm this)
So i will take that letter with me and show it to anyone if they
start harrassing me.

Quick question do you think i should invest in a gazebo, or will a
table and chairs do for now. How the hell will i get noticed though
just with T+C on the prom?

Samantha
