: I feel an Asian or African violinist should not have to change
their
: name to play Beethoven, and I don't think someone born in the US
: should need to change names to be taken seriously as a henna
artist.
:
: Mind... I've lost dozens of gigs because people from South Asia
and
: the Middle East simply could NOT deal with hiring a non-ethnic, but
: even if I had adoped a faux name, I couldn't have kept up the
pretense
: once I got through their front door (and that would have been
worse!).
: I am comfortable with being accepted or rejected for who I am ...
too
: complicated to set up a false front!

ditto here. My business is called Henna body art by Christine. who I
am and what I do. I like to keep it simple and to the point. Avoids
much confusion(at least for me) Blessings, Christine
