I am getting great results using pine oil in my mix. I haven't done
any side-by-sides so there is no scientific basis for it. My
assistant usually gets terrible stains on the backs of her hands, but
with pine oil it comes out a lovely warm chocolate brown. I have also
found that the stain looks great the first day after taking off the
paste; usually the best color doesn't come out until the 2nd day. The
smell of the pine oil is lovely. A cleint the other day said that my
henna paste smells like Jerusalem! To me it smells like Morocco!
