That is the exact henna that i have been looking for for ages! Where
did you get it?

I noticed the same thing about the cherry to mahogany colors.

: Just tried some Brite brand of henna powder and it is redder.
:
: I had picked up a bag of Brite henna powder at a local store and it
: is definitely redder than Castle Arts henna that I had been using.
: It was in a foil bag with a picture of a woman’s head with red hair
: and henna-ed hands. I paid $2.50 for 200 grams but you will lose
: some to sifting. I suspect that the powder was dyed green because
I
: saw some flecks of green dye in the paste but it seemed rather
fresh,
: as the stain was not disappointing. Not too bad, I may just go
back
: and pick up some more. The stain was more of a cherry red color
: initially and darkened to a red-brown mahogany wood color. The
: Castle Arts henna that I had been using stained orange and then
: darkened to a shade of brown walnut wood color. The color
difference
: was not considerable but I definitely prefer the redder shades over
: dark browns.
:
: I may drop by the health food store and pick up some pine oil to
see
: if it will intensify the stain and make it even more red.
