It was purchased at a local ethnic store here in Southern California.

It was from a Pakistani (not sure though) grocery market in
Westminster where there is a large Vietnamese population as well a
small Indian community. I asked the store clerk if it was fresh and
she said it was. I was in the store two weeks earlier and I didn’t
see that brand of henna there and there were many other brands that I
didn’t recognize. So when I saw a foil pouch of Brite henna I
figured I would give it a try since you had mentioned that it was a
redder staining henna. It was redder than the Castle Arts henna from
last summer and Kenzi’s Moroccan henna from this winter. They even
had citric acid powder in the spice section so it saved me a trip to
the brewery store.
