Here's the recipie for a homemade peel off masquePosted by Linda in NJ on June 20, 2001 at 20:46:08: Here it is guys:1/4 cup (50ml) fruit juice (apparently any kind is okay) 1/4 cup (50 ml) herbal infusion (don't be scared, this means strong herbal tea-essentially what most folks use as liquid in their henna paste) 1 packet unflavored gelatin (you can find it in the baking section of any supermarket) 1. Pour liquid ingredients into an oven safe glass container (pyrex) 2. Add gelatin and stir to dissolve 3. Gently heat using a double boiler for 1 minute, stir constantly. 4. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Then use as you would a normal facial masque. Notes: Gelatin, when you first pour it into anything, stinks horribly. Don't worry the smell reduces once it dissolves and the sugar in the juice takes over. I'd advise experimenting with different combos of lemon juice and herbs to see what works best. Use a simple pattern when experimenting so you're not disappointed if it doesn't work well. Storage: I don't know how well this stores. I know you should keep it in a refrigerator (it's essentially edible), and many people advise adding Vitamin E as a preservative. That my two cents, write back with reports of how it works! Linda
