Quite a good thing in the fight against PPD. I was in the Uni lab
which is in a hospital and on a break I was talking to a Consultant
dermatologist. He was asking me about my plans for the Summer and I
told him about being a Henna Artist, at which point his face fell and
he started very earnestly telling me about 'something' called PPD and
the dangers of Henna. I explained to him that I used natural henna
that didn't contain PPD and went on to explain the difference between
black and natural henna. He seemed very surprised that I knew
anything about it as he explained the dangers of PPD had only
recently been published (probably the paper CCJ is talking about). At
least this shows that normal doctors are becoming aware of the risks
of PPD, however the danger lies in his lack of awareness of henna
being different. Still hopefully it's a step in the right direction,
so long as henna does not get villified by mistake.

Sorry about the rant, but I thought it was quite interesting
