I just recently did the same thing. The test strands turned
out fine (and they didn't turn green! Yeah!), so I went ahead
and did the rest of my hair. It turned out beautifully.

I hennaed my hair for years but went to a chemical dye
after I moved and couldn't find henna anymore. The chemical
dyes just didn't do for my hair what henna did and I
wanted to go back to it. Now that henna is a little easier
to come by I thought I'd give it a shot again. I'm very
glad I did. After just one application my hair already
looks better than it did.

For the first time in over 20 years I did a design on
my hand, too. I'd forgotten how much fun it was!
I tried using a cone for the first time - much quicker
than toothpicks!

: Hey all,
: I've been wanting to henna my hair but was previously dyed. After
: waiting and many washings, I did a test with a snip of my hair and
: hennaed it. I didn't see any adverse reactions and it was a
gorgeous
: shade. Since the test came out ok should I go ahead and do my hair?
: Thanks : )
