If so, you are doing it right and the stuff left in the stocking are just the lumps formed when mixing powder and liquid, like in bad gravy. You might be able to reduce this by mixing your paste a little longer. Also, if you henna powder is not very finely sifted you will find that more of it stays behind in the stocking when straining. Try sifting your powder before mixing. Let me know if you have any more questions.
