: I am getting ready for my first festivals. How do others do the
: patterns? Do you use regular pattern books or draw ones up that
you
: can do very well. I know some of the patterns are quite
: complicated. Also, Does anyone have clients sign a release form?

----I usually have two binders of designs to choose from. I know
that some people pull out all the stops and have design binders as
well as books about henna, tattoos, and all sorts of different
designs. For your first festival you might want to keep it simple
and just have designs that you feel you can do well. It can be
frustrating to be asked to do a design you don't feel confident about
especially if you are very busy. If you do want to have a lot of
designs including some you haven't tried yet, you can offer the
person a discount or free henna if they choose one of the tough ones
so that you can get some practice in.

---I also find that having a lot of photos of your work in the design
books helps a lot. It really gives people an idea of what their
design will look like on them. A drawing sometimes doesn't show it
clearly enough.

----I don't ask people to sign release forms but some people do.
That would be up to you. Maybe someone here can advise you better
than I can.

: Will paste stay good all day if the day is HOT?

----Your paste should be fine all day even in the hottest weather.
To be extra sure, just keep your stuff in the shade and maybe in a
closed container or box. Most pastes are good for 2-3 days after
mixing them.
:
: Thanks for any help anyone can give. I never thought I would have
so
: much fun doing anything in my life, like I do with Mehandi.

---Enjoy!!
