Henna in the papers.

This article was in the papers yesterday (Sunday, July 15). While it's
good that the existence of PPD in black "henna" is being discussed
openly in a main newspaper, I'm rather uncomfortable that they did not
distinguish clearly the safety difference between using natural henna
and PPD-spiked so-called henna pastes (bleah).

Please read the article and see what we can do to provide better
information to the public. "Black henna" problem is not a big one in
Singapore 'cos most people here know henna as a plant dye that
produces a reddish-brown stain though sometimes I'm sure someone has
asked for a black henna tattoo. But I heard its notorious in Thailand
(and they probably did it dirt cheap).

It's too bad that they showed a picture of a hand decorated in natural
henna on the article. I'm sure alot of people would confuse "black
henna" with the real one now.
