Saulmer???

I have this little thing, that whenever I pass someone who is doing
black henna I ask them whats in it, and i constantly get the stupid
reply " Oh its saulmer! very popular in india where henna originated,
it contains the powder of dried limes", I was like what? So i went
home dried some limes and tried to powder them with the good old
thunderstick (which is a handheld blender) and to my content, the
limes did not powder, thus proving that these artists are B/Sing.
But since I've been hearing about this thing called saulmer, does
anyone know exactly what it is?
