Re: uh...Mark, you mentioned pigment or is someone impersonating you?Posted by Nick on July 22, 2001 at 16:04:01: In reply to: Re: uh...Mark, you mentioned pigment or is someone impersonating you? posted by Maureen on July 22, 2001 at 15:10:29: I tan very well and very quickly, and i stain very well too.I also retain my tan, rather than some people who tan and have to keep re-tanning to maintain their color. Wonder if that has anything to do with it... Peace and love to all sentient beings, ~Nick : I didn't think your question was about race...knew it was about : henna. Henna is so tricky and finicky. You might be on to something : with the lanolin theory. I don't know anything about how lanolin is : released from the skin and when and why it is released. But it : appears that it would certainly interfere with the henna stain. My : girlfriend I referred to who does not take a decent henna stain also : does not tan as quickly as I. By the end of the summer there is a : distinct difference in our skin color. By September I am much darker : and her coloring has not changed much if at all. So there may well : be some correlation between tanning and taking a henna stain. I tan : and stain. What about you? And I wonder about others experience. : : Maureen
