I ordered some Cajeput oil from Harnett's an aromatherapy/homeopathy
store nearby. It was about 6.50 per bottle, which I figure is an
okay deal considering that I'd pay $7 for shipping elsewhere.

You might find tamarind paste in mexican aisles, sold as Tamarindo.
I've never seen the candy, but the paste that I have is by the
brand "Tamicon" and it is super-sticky - kind of like Molasses or a
concentrated tamarind chutney. The consistency is actually a little
less viscous than your normal henna paste! My bottles usually last
me forever and only cost about $2. My feeling is, however, that the
candy and the paste would be very similar - I'd boil down the candy
till it became a sticky syrup and it will probably be similar to
concentrated paste.
