Today is my first day back from my vacation, so I looked on the
internet for any information about henna. I found this page and it's
been very helpful. I'm glad I now know the difference between safe
henna and not-so-safe henna. I really like mehndi and I want to buy
some real henna and do my hands once this black stuff goes away.
(I'll probably start with my feet first since I can hide them in my
shoes!)
I'm pretty upset about spending so much money on something fake. I
went to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and at every single shop there,
they sell "Black Henna Tattoos." Tons of people get them, even me
and my sister did because no one knows the truth about them. They
said it would last about a month, but both of our "tattoos" are
fading fast. The killer though, is that they can get away with it
because its mainly vacationers that get them done. By the time they
start to fade, the people have already gone home and it's too late to
do anything about it. It's a tourist trap with a capital T.
