It's harmless and smoothes out the paste.
some of the megaterps cause a sort of "clotting" in the paste. It can
become difficult to pull and drape long strands. The Titanium helps
that.

Oxalic acid irritates many people's skin though others tolerate it
well. It's in sorrel, and to a smaller extent in spinach. I'd go for
lemon juice any day. Somewhere you'll find a henna mix that has
"terrapin oil". Someone has no clue how to spell terpineol, but is
not actually wringing little turtles dry.
