You should by all means have the henna info with all the nasty
pictures available for people to peruse, and get it to the event
coordinator beforehand, also. The key word is Liability. Not only
the "artist" but the event itself is liable if someone gets hurt at
his event. If someone has one of the black designs, I'd give them a
card with what to do if they have a reaction on it. You CAN make a
difference!

: Hi everyone,
: I haven't been here in ages so I don't know if anyone will remember
: me but I've still been doing henna like crazy.
:
: I have some pics up you can check out here:
:
:
: I've been invited to do a benefit thing for ToriBash in Houstonon
Aug
: 18. It's volunteer for a good cause so I won't get paid. You can
find
: more about the event here:
:
:
: When I first agreed to do it, I asked to be the exlcusive artist
: there so I could get the advertisement since I wasn't being paid.
: Well, I've since found out that there's going to be another artist
: first off and also that they'll be doing "black henna!" I wrote the
: organizers of the event with a link to the warnings page of this
site
: but I haven't heard back from them. I also emailed the other artist
: directly and asked what their ingredients were and they
said, "henna,
: clove oil, euclyputus oil, lemon, and lime." So I asked how they
got
: it black and they haven't responded. This is their web page.

:
: What do you guys think? I don't want to do the event and be
: associated with "black henna" espeicially if someone has a
reaction.
: And if I do the event should I speak out against black henna and
: maybe give out fliers even if they're there?
:
: Typically my paste is just henna and lemon juice because I have
such
: sensitive skin, so I figure if it works for me then my customers
: shouldn't have any problems. I was excited to read about the Siruis
: mixes below with the essential oils and the results. I'm going to
try
: and experiment with some of them this weekend and if I get good
: results I might take one of these mixes to the event.
:
: Thanks everyone for your help!
: Christina
