I thought I'd repost some of Essential Oil chemistry info for those
of you looking to study blends and so forth. I don't want to offend
anyone regarding Young Living Products, but there are safety issues
there, so I decided to share a link to an opinion of someone that I
feel is trustworthy, as I've dealt with him with previously. Like I
state below, the oils can be quality products, however, like Sophie,
I have a hard time endorsing an entity whose business practices are
less than 'kosher' and who makes and promotes wild claims that in the
end, degrade the practice of aromatherapy and essential oil use and
more importantly, can and have harmed people physically and
emotionally. >rant ends here< =)

This site has a wealth of information as to the use of oils and their
safety on skin. If one scrolls down toward the bottom, there is a
link on Young Living Oils. The link contains information from Butch
at www.AV-AT.com (an excellent source for quite a few oils and an
absolutely stunning rose oil) regarding Young Living *claims*. As
Butch states, the oils can be of excellent quality, but some of the
related claims are scary. Please be careful following advice that
goes against what every source, traditional and modern alike, says is
standard safety:

Here is a site that lists constituents and in what oils they are
found:
http://www.ensia.inra.fr/~courtois/fidel/Lisbon/flaves/sec3/oils.html

This is an excellent site that sells and informs. For many of their
oils they give chemical constituent lists as well. I plan on placing
an order with them soon, if so, I'll share the results. Their prices
seem quite reasonable and shipping also from the UK to the States:

This site also lists constituents along with aromatherapy type info:
http://www.aromacity.com/oilsinfo.html

Lastly, a warning that Tea Tree Oil is toxic to cats- for those of
you who have curious ones:

Peace & Henna!
