Hi Anne,

Glad all the effort and tenacity paid off. I have had the exact same
difficulty trying to strain paste through a stocking...stocking and
bag bursting and henna juice everywhere. I also found when I was
successful at getting a usable amount of strained paste, I had to
make up sooooo much paste to begin with that I was uncomfortable with
the amount of paste left in the stocking. Probably if I could
squeeze it harder I could get more strained paste but the bursting
stockings and plastic bags keeps me cautious of the amount of
pressure I apply. I had to find all kinds of things to do with that
left over paste...I am way too economical to throw good stuff away.
Besides, I just love to play with by products on nights I have
difficulty getting to sleep. Straining paste has made me really
embrace shifting and shifting and shifting henna powder. I just keep
my masks, Q-tips, baby oil, plastic gloves, plastic apron, plastic
table cloths, plastic bucket, paper towels, vacuum and dry vac close
at hand.

And that toothpick thing is interesting isn't it?

Maureen
