Just like apples. I swear to god I don't even know where to begin to answer that question! The rainy season stuff is the stringiest and the reddest, and has the most complex array of tannins. Some of these are brownish, as the Indian and Moroccan seem to be lately. The Pakistani, Meccan and Irani seem to be the reddest. The Mecca henna seems to be particularly red. Because all these have a wide variation due to seasonal rain and heat ... it's almost impossible to generalize! We try to review different suppliers at Sirius Henna Conferences .... I'll post such next round.
