There is Moroccan henna, red henna, Sudanese henna, Gambian henna,
Saharan Henna, Persian henna, Jamilla, henna from the spring crop,
henna after the rainy season, henna from India, henna from Pakistan
and I am sure a number of other types of henna powder discussed here
or advertised here. Can anyone take on putting these in catagories
if that is appropriate and/or providing some information about the
characteristics of each...or at least your opinion about the ones you
are familiar with. And if you know of one, can you also indicate a
supplier for the henna you describe? If I have left out a type of
henna you are familiar with feel free to add it to the list and
provide information about characteristics and suppliers. I left off
reference to the premixed pastes and kits because that is a whole
different duck.
