Thanky Khoa -- note the holographic glitter nail polish btw ;) but
kudos to Liisa whose artwork inspired the modified butterfly design
you see here and to Yvonne's gracious web hosting.

This is an example of the terp oil staining to create a shaded effect
that I posted about to Maureen before. The oil you can see has left a
residue inside the lotus petals even after the actual paste was
removed (scraped off with a toothpick) and the end result was a
fainter stain that colored the petals slightly. I wanted something to
set the lotus apart from the butterfly as I thought that the 2 close
together were confusing to the eye.
