How much paste you can get out of a nylon will depend on how tight the
weave of the stocking is. My local Wal-Mart carries little cheapie
knee-hi's that are fabulous for straining paste-- the weave is open
enough to let actual paste through (and not just the juices) but
still catches the lumps and itty-bitty twiglets that made it past the
siftings. Also, I really have to w-r-i-n-g it to get all the
worthwhile stuff out. It's a bit more work, but the results are
faboo...

And I don't know if you've seen this pic before-- it's one of the
steps from Kenzi's how-to page (link below) and it's great for those
of us who are better visual learners. (Thanks Kenzi!)
