They can't look through your shit unless you give them permission
to. If one is arrested and read the Miranda rights, dont tell them

do have the right to sit there and keep your mouth shut, and that is

do's and dont's when one is in a bad situation. I researched this
stuff further after my little incident of having my car strip
searched because I fit a profile.
I hope no damage was done to you or your belongings.
One thing, tho, speaking as someone who's a granddaughter of a former
highway patrol officer. It's not the cop's fault. They are there to
serve and protect, and if there was a catastrophic disaster, they
would be the people we'd be relying on, so they deserve that much
respect. If you want to get angry, get angry with these ignorant
politicians who continue the "war on drugs" despite its obvious
unsuccess and the fact that it hurts so many innocent people.
