how to recognize "good" henna.

Hi,I am going to go out for buying some henna. Whit the last henna I
buyed, I didn't have much sucess. The henna didn't get dark and
stayed as light as you can't see althougth I used the recipe from
this page. I tried it more than 5 times, so I think it was because of
the henna. How to I recognize "good" henna?
