Oxidizing

What do you guys tell clients about it darkening? When i tell peopleabout it they just look at me strange. I can't believe the number of
people who come back HALF and hour after i applied the paste, and
instructed at least two hours of left on-dedness and oxidation, and
complain about it being too light. HMPH, well my reply is to the
ones with the attitudes "next time do it yourself!" and the ones who
are polite about it and followed my instruction, despite forgetting
the part about oxidation, i just reexplain the whol thing. But it
can piss an artist off. So does anyone have a way to handle this?
