: Well . on the good side . . . . today I finally met Carrie and
I'll
: have a picture of us up on the website soon; we were hennaing at
the
: Fisherman's Fair in Boston! (it was really fun!!)
:
: Re: Cones . . . I love them to death and I'm glad that you
: finally 'discovered' them!!
:
: But alas, something bad happened today. I'm sure some of you know
: that I sell my surplus cones on occasion . . .but sadness hit me
this
: evening in response to a recent sell. I came home, all excited
after
: the Fair, to find a message from a customer who bought 20 cones and
: said that none of them "worked" and that his mehndi function was a
: disaster. He seemed really mad and I didn't know what to do; I
have
: always used my cones without any problem (in fact, I had sent the
: person extra good cones) and it's really frustrating to have
someone
: tell you that you should be more careful about how something is
: made. I'm sitting here thinking, I use these cones all the time.
: They always work great! I think they're made well! What's the deal
: and why do I have to feel so bad about all this?

it maaaay be that he didn't know how to use them correctly? and if he
was a henna artist worth his salt he should alway have a contingency
plan. i always keep an extra bottle plus the fixings for my own henna
cones. just in case. i impressed a few people by taping up a cone on
the spot when something has happened. since i was trained with a cone
it is not too hard for me to go back to it when things get lost or
stolen. at one faire i turned my back for a minute to talk to another
custumer and both my bottles were stolen. since i only brought two
tips i made a cone up so that i could continue. it ended up a good
day after that and if i hadn't that skill i would of been out for an
hour or so until i could get my tools again. instead i made around
$80 that hour. i also keep a second set of books in the car and at
home. had them stolen once, but just kept on going because i could do
a lot from memory after 4 years.
as for that gentleman, he may have been mad at that moment but talk
to him and see just what was going on. there may be more to it then
you know. good luck, jenniferr
