I know our soil is iron rich...through having soil tested for gardening. Should I splurge on a plant or several???? What are your thoughts? I would be very interested. Lisa K : I was using finely powdered black iron oxide, and tried disolving it : in solution then into the paste. I tried that after seeing black iron : oxide as a prepmix paste constituent. : : I was briefly encouraged when I removed the paste, as it looked like : the stain was darker, but this was only a surface effect. After 1 : day, the pastes with and without iron were identical in stain. : : However, the browner hennaes, I believe, grow in iron rich soil. (ie : Rajasthan) (maybe someday Oklahoma) Perhaps henna can carry its own : iron!
