Hi,
In fact the water won't turn that RED color you are expecting...but
you can still call that orange-brownish color as RED tho...
I usually boil the slices of lime (after drying them well)
for about 45 minutes...Sometimes,I do put some whole clove too with
them! This is when I want to use all the paste I'm preparing at
once, cause keeping the paste that got clove in would have an awful
smell in a couple of days!

: Hi,
:
: I have read about boiling dried lime slices until the water turns
: red. I'm curious though. Can anyone please tell me roughly how long
: you have to boil them before the water turns red? And will it only
: turn red if the slices are really dry or will it also turn red if
: they are partially dry, or even fresh?
:
: Thanks in advance
: Dee
