oookay, I think I get it. If it's warm and Ihave a 5-second bright vermilion stain at one hour after mixing, do I need to wait further? Am I actually waiting for the dye to over- release and to lose some of its own staining power? 36 hours seems like a very long time. : : CCJ says to mix plain, wait until the stain develops, then add EO : and : : wait again. Kenzi says to mix with EO, wait, then add more EO and : : use immediately? I'm so confused! Last time I was told that the : : problem was i didn't wait long enough to mix in the oils. What : have : : othe people's experiences been? : : Actually, I was saying the same thing as CCJ. : : 1. Mix your paste plain (powder, lemon juice) : 2. Wait 24-36 hours : 3. Add your EOs and use : : I am saying, in addition, that if you have to wait after adding the : EOs, you could add more to the paste right before you are going to : use it. This might arise if you mix the paste for a 3pm appt., you : put the EOs in at 2:45 but the client calls and postpones for the : next day. When you have your appointment with her the next day, add : more EOs to your paste. This is just my personal experience but the : EOs right before you use it seem to give it an extra kick. I have no : scientific or empirical basis for making this claim, but so far my : experience bears it out.
