the perfect never fail mix?

Sort of following on from the wimpy stain thing below. Is there a
guarenteed, never fail, good stain ( but not possibly the darkest
ever) mix that can be printed with precise instructions and no
vagueties (?) ie, no leave out for about 8 hours or sometimes leave
in the dark, or mix lemon only first add EO's later and sit again.
What I am looking for is an idiots guide to making your own paste and
getting consistent results ( although I do realise that the powder
must be really fresh) I mean do you guys have thermometes in the area
where the paste sits to know how long to leave it at that tempreture,
and those who leave it in the fridge overnight, do you know exeactly
what temp your fridge is at. Perhaps you see my trouble, there seems
to be a wealth of information, but it sometimes appears a little
wooly around the edges, or is that the pull of henna, you are never
exactly sure what you will get, as I believe CCJ said " the rest is
alchemy".
An idiots brew would be useful to an idiot like me. I can get a stain
but so far have not achieved the dark ebony I have seen on others,
again I realise this intensity of darkness may not be possible on
forearms and upper arms, but some bods seem to get close.
If it helps I have a bag of unopened Castle Arts powder in the
freezer, has anyone got an exact recipe for me to use with this?
