I will try to make it as short as possible. It is Good Catherine.
You pointed it out but I didn't mean as I never said essential oil
and as far as I knew only terpineol is the oil which helps Paste to
release the color faster and turn it darker because of it chemistry
as you mention.. My experiment shows Terpineol is the only oil which
contribute to darkest stain other two you mention , I am not aware of
so I cann't say about them.
Other oils like mustard, cooking or olive oil help henna as a
medium used in every house hold back home in India (Mustered mostly
or eucalyptus oil in rich household) by keeping the henna paste moist
so that paste can stay longer moist as it releases more stain when it
is moist Of course if used in proportion.
Matter of fact it is amazing now that we are trying all sort of oils
and exploring all the possibility with all kind of oils. You are
right other oils are rich in fragrance. I was not aware even few
years back we even used it in henna at all.
* You mention two other oils geraniol and Lineol. Are they the same
refined or raw form of Terpineol or they are different? could you
please educate about the source of these oil? I don't keep the
detailed knowledge of essential and base oil but as beautician I have
attended some seminars where I learnt about them. So I have limited
knowledge about these oil
** I visited the link you mention and understood what point you made.
The henna design is beautiful also. I loved the design.
*** Lastly, aren't all the Eucalyptus same regardless of where they
are grown? I understood All the Eucalyptus have the same properties.
at least they all smell same unless they have something mixed in it.
Thank you.
