What about indigo?

Henna on chemically dyed hair is just as problematic as chemical dye
on previously henna'd hair.

However, "black henna" for hair without PPD might actually be indigo,
instead of henna. Can anyone comment on whether pure indigo has the
same reaction problems?

Having said that, there is a chance that there is also some henna in
the ingredients, so take care either way.
