I've never tried the pre-mix but I have used the mehndi mud powder,
Lifeart, and had very good results with it -- both terped and
unterped. In fact, one occassion I got the closest to black I've ever
achieved using *unterped* Lifeart, and it lasted for weeks. Perhaps
when you feel ready to experiment more, you might try that brand of
powder. Other brands I've had consistent success with are MDH and
Jamila (although J. is more red on me).

I have yet to experiment with the Sondarya henna I bought, but will
post results on that once I do. Glad to hear youre having such
success! Keep us posted... info is power.
