I agree with Alissa about the staining ability of Life Art powder. I
have not tried any premixed pastes. I am getting too excellent
results from the terped pastes (cajeput) and with some henna powder,
the powders mixed just with lemon and sugar. Navaid's henna powder,
Sondarya's powder, Jamila and a new Moroccan I am trying are top on
my list. I find them all wonderfully consistent when you adjust your
timing to their requirements...which is just watching to know when
the dye releases, testing to know when it is at its peak and testing
to see how long the paste remains stable and retains its staining
ability. I have tested my pastes without refrigeration and each of
these stain excellently for up to 2 weeks and a few just a bit
longer. Terped, all of these have given a black cherry, or burgundy-
black or dark, dark, dark coffee stain on palms and feet. Jamila,
Navaid's and the new Moroccan have can have a period or red stains
during the color changes. All of these give an assortment of tans,
cinnamon, expresso, hazelnut to chestnut stains on arms, legs wrists
and other body parts.

I am so cautious, I think that if I were away from home I would mix
up my tried and true a few days earlier as suggested, keep some in
the freezer as suggested, and have some premix. Overly prepared
always works for me.
