Hi Lauren,

I remember a site that ofcourse has something I want and can use.
That could be a product but could also be information. If I learn
something on a site that I did not know, I tend to remember that
site. I also like when the pictures download quickly on a site. No
matter how wonderful the page I am looking at may be, if I have to
wait too long for the next page to show up or forever for a pic, I
will leave the site. While I can appreciate a pretty and artistic
site aesthetically, a site that presents its information in a
straight forward manner and doesn't compromise a straight forward
presentation for artsy-ness (not a word) appeals to me when I am
looking for something. I also want the contact information...how to
order information...and pricing information to be clear and
accurate. If I have to contact for clarity or for a price, I will
probably pass. The mood is gone by the time I get the email response
back. And, I HATE sites with hidden agendas. If the site is
presented as one that is educational and informational...DON'T try to
sell me anything. If the site is presented as one that sells
products...DON'T try to convert me. If the site does both then
present it as what it is. I dislike feeling tricked and a lot of
other people do as well. Lastly, if a site includes a lot of written
info, I like if there are related links included in the text. If the
sentence is about the color of henna powder, a link on the word
powder taking me to a pic is helpful. Too much text without taking
me to something representative will bore me soon. But too many
hyperlinks to other pages and pics gets me confused. I have been to
sites that hyper-linked me to another page and didn't have a link to
get me back to the page I was originally reading.

Hope any of this is useful.

Maureen
