I would like to enter my henna art as part of an upcoming SCA arts
and sciences event, but I find that while my knowledge is pretty
good, my actual documentation is very sparse. I am looking for
online or easily found (within, say, a week) resources with pictures
of people wearing henna from, say 1000 to 1600 C.E. The only thing
that springs to mind is the Alhambra chess piece, but I'd like more.
Where do I find the Queen of Sheba pics? I am especially interested
in any written reference, especially a period recipie. I think CCJ
said there's a cargo maifest from a ship carrying henna amoung other
trade goods? Anything from a turkish bath would be good. Ummm...
Really, anything would be helpful.
