Why is it that some hair hennaes ask for water not lemon juice? Is it
because hair henna is from the weaker leaves of the plant? I thought
all henna had to be mixed with something acidic to release the dye?
Or is it because of chemical additives?

How does hair "henna" claim to be black? This is due to additives
also, even if advertised as being "all-natural"?

The what-for-how-come-whys are hitting me today...

And my toenails look absolutely killer after 2 hennaes - rich
cinnamon brown w/ golden undertones. I was afraid I might not like
it, but the color isn't yucky orange or a nasty uneven shade as I was
fearing could happen.
