I would assume that the Essential Oils would probably help to darken
the henna paste for the hair as well but I was told that it was not
good for the hair. At least that is what a Pakistani shopkeeper told
me when I inquired about her ‘henna oil’. Apparently it would
encourage gray hairs or something so it was only good for using on
henna paste for the skin. Perhaps she was indicating that the color
would fade so quickly similar to what you experience with the short-
lasting stain on the skin.

Oh by the way, I have been henna-ing my mom’s hair and she usually
leaves it on overnight but the next morning she says that her urine
is cloudy gray! It has happened a few times when I henna her hair
and I am not sure what would cause it. I have been using Castle Arts
henna, citric acid, and clove oil.
