It seems that rainy season harvests tend to be more gooey than other
harvests. I have found this to be true with my latest shipment of
henna from Morocco (harvested at the end of the rainy season). This
gooiness is great for pulling out long continuous lines (either
straight or curly) but it can be a teeny bit annoying when trying to
make a simple dot because you get a little Dairy Queen (tm) swirl on
each dot!

I find adding sugar to the mix really helps the henna to dry without
cracking.
