I have contacts for people, workshops, suppliers, : organization, webspace ... and all that from the last 3 years, and : perhaps that's a useful thing. : : Would it be less daunting a task to put together a conference if a : person(s) at each location made all the local arrangements, but used : the experience, contacts and information I have as a platform to : organize the conference? Perhaps that would give the conferences : continuity (and add to credability)... and be easier for each local : organizer as they wouldn't have to start from scratch each time! : : Then ... if it was impossible to find or organize a place in one year : or another, Brushwood could be the fallback location. I think you as the central person would be great. I certainly wouldn't want to recreate everything that you have already set up. I could be your (wo)man on the scene in NYC, Jeremy in UK etc. And we can do the locating scouting, reservations, event planning etc in conjuction with you. I don't see any of these other Sirius (would that name remain? what about something more tied to henna?) conferences as replacements for doing it at Brushwood but rather branches for those in other areas, or maybe events that make use of the time between one Sirius at Brushwood and the next. They could be the off-season events. I like the idea of a late-winter/early-spring conference to take advantage of downtime during the henna low season as a time to regroup and rekindle, to learn new techniques, practice old ones, prepare for the upcoming henna season and just hang out and henna.
